Waegis Released to Web
Today is a very busy day for me because I have to work on a few projects in parallel. One of my planned tasks for today was the final launch of Waegis and releasing it to web.
A few minutes ago I announced this on Waegis blog and officially released the site and service to web! Sweet!
As you would remember, Waegis came to public on July 9, 2008 and since then I’ve been giving regular updates about the status of its development and extension. In this period of time my primary goal was to improve the proposed features in pre-Beta stages and just add some minor new features.
Waegis has passed a smooth progress to become better and better everyday. In the early days there were some bugs and issues that I tried to resolve quickly. There were also some big faults that I handled by reconfiguring Waegis spam rules. At the end, these changes improved Waegis and put it on the right track.
Since last week I applied some changes and added a few new features to the codebase that are being tested to be published until next Monday (August 18, 2008). One of these changes is upgrading my code to .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1. I also noticed some usability issues in the registration process on Waegis site so activation system will be replaced by a simpler mechanism very soon. There are also some unused features in Waegis that I eliminated from the codebase to make it easier for myself to maintain the code.
I’m so happy that after 6-7 months of active development and hard work on Waegis and over 3 years of theoretical research, it’s now in a stable stage and is acting very well. I’m definitely looking forward to see its success and hear user feedback about it.
Even though Waegis is released to web, but I still have kept promotion discount offer for a longer term so you can get a commercial account with lower prices.

Very cool service! I was just thinking that there is a real niche for a service like this and today I read about it. :)
Definitely going to try it out for a couple of my sites.
Thanks!
